Clarisse Pastor-Medina - The Heartivist Coffee Painter

Clarisse Pastor-Medina is not only known for her coffee paintings. All of her pieces tells a story of nostalgia of being a Filipino, and of course, of being a Batanguena. She has a collection entitled "Pinoiserie". Under this series is the "Biak". This series include the artworks below. According to Clarisse, Biak highlights the thought of one persona, divided but whole. It highlights the immigrants who are always split: living and loving two places at one time, immersing in a different culture but also strongly defining one's own from another, embracing the present but being forever nostalgic about the past.

"Two Daydreams"
